Too many families face the pain of substance abuse and addiction. ![]() New Orleans District staff assists Habitat for Humanity in the reconstruction of houses in the New Orleans area.America's Best Addiction Treatment Centers 2023 Mission, Bridge House, Salvation Army, Ozanam Inn, Metropolitan Health Services, Grace Outreach, Forensics Aftercare, Professional Academy, Greenpath, Odyssey House, Emmett Professional Services, and St John’s Number 9, along with various other providers to offer an extension of immediate resources available to those under supervision. New Orleans District partners with Catholic Charities, Goodwill Industries, N.O. New Orleans District Office also provides an intern program for several colleges in the metropolitan area. NOD Officers participate in job and resource fairs held periodically at statewide correctional institutions to assist and prepare offenders anticipating release onto supervision for a healthy reintegration back into the community. The New Orleans District Office also offers sex offender treatment, which requires a fee. Our office houses weekly outpatient drug, alcohol, and anger management programs free of charge to those under supervision. Additionally, the district office provides community resource events that include job and community resource fairs, drug treatment, adult education programs, and housing. The New Orleans District Office provides a community resource center for offenders that offers multiple services and programs. AIDS Task Force, Job One, Inmate Welfare Fund, warrant roundups, curfew checks, and Halloween compliance checks of sex offenders. Special projects include the New Orleans Crime Prevention Initiative, the Orleans Day Reporting Center, Southeast Regional Reentry Center, LSP/Orleans Reentry Court Program, Multi-Agency Gang Unit, U.S. As such, New Orleans District officers work jointly with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as well as numerous community service agencies to provide safer communities and alternatives to incarceration. The mission is designed to insure the safety of the public, staff, and offenders while reintegrating offenders into society. New Orleans District has as its mission to provide for control of adjudicated offenders through enforcement of laws and management of programs.
